"Number One Priority"

Alright, first up, Nathan's birthday. If you think about it, we are only 2 weeks late...

Superman was a big hit this year. It only took 15 shots to get this one.

This one just makes me laugh. He was really loving this photo shoot.

Yes, yes, thank you. I really did this myself. Thank you Kathy for your artist's eye for color. Nathan really liked this.

Well, you can see he got plenty of Superman stuff, he also got some Curious George stuff and various other things that little boys love.

We were able to take a little vacation last weekend. We went to the annual Smith Family Camp out at Lake Rathbun. Of course, we didn't really camp out, but we did eat outside a lot. Joel's more extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins) all camp out, we stay in a motel in the nearest town. Anyway, we had a really good time. Went to the beach, ate grilled food, sweat a lot, got a sunburn I am ready for fall now.

Summer has really been bearing down on us here, only going to get hotter next week. It is supposed to be 95 and 98 this week. Yuck.

Joel has been doing really great on his diet. He has lost over 50 pounds in the last 4 months and is feeling great. Eats better, drinks a ton of water, and gets more exercise. He is transformed.

Ryan is really being funny. He is running all over the place now, and is a total HAM! He loves to flirt and tease, and play. He really is fun. Ryan really enjoyed being outside at the camp ground. He ran around the whole time. Not really doing anything, just walking around visiting with everyone. He took off down the beach before I even set our stuff down. He was in heaven, he kept going up to the girls around us and sitting down by them, smiling. Too funny.

Nathan is our resident know it all. He knows he is right, don't even argue. He and Ryan have really become the best of friends. They love to play together and just be together. In a year they are going to be CRAZY together. Nathan loved the snowcones at camp. He is a sugaraholic. He loves swimming too. I think he could do without the heat and bugs though, I know I could have.

Ok, I'm done. I'll try and get some of the campout pictures on here soon. Here are some recent photos though.
