These are the days of our lives
Well, things have been moving right along for us. We have a new nephew, which is very exciting. Welcome Blake, we can't wait to meet you!!
I'll start with the kids.
The boys have started at a new day care, unfortunatly Thea had to close and we are still very sad about it, but the boys seem to be adjusting well. Ms. Deb (their teacher) seems to be a good fit, but they don't get to play outside as much as they did with Thea. I think they miss that. As with any day care change, it seems harder on Joel and I than the boys. We will be ok though.
Nathan had a bout of the flu last week. Lots of body functions that I will not name, but it was not fun for any of us. He is doing much better now, even though he has figured out that saying you are sick can get you out of school for the day. Great, he only three and already finding ways to skip school.
Nathan continues to amaze us with his thoughts and feelings. He is very good at expressing himself and loves to tell us exactly what he thinks of us and what we want him to do. "I am NOT going to bed, and you can't see me the rest of the night" is common in our house. He does like to storm off and slam his door (not from me, I swear!). He still enjoys playing video games with his dad and watching movies. Today his favorite movie is Monster House, tomorrow who knows. He is the star of his Nursery class at Church. He really enjoys going to Church and to class, his teachers are amazing. He is even saying prayers now, with a little help. He is growing so fast!
Ryan is our little joker. He likes to get chased and will steal and beg to get someone chasing him. He runs to the neighbors house ever time we go outside and just waits for someone to come after him. He just laughs and laughs. Too funny.
He is still an early bird and wakes up around 6 am no matter what time he goes to bed. Now, if only Joel and I could get up and moving that early...
Ryan's talking is coming right along. Sometimes I swear I hear him say a complete thought, like, "I want another peice of cheese", but mostly he just repeats the fluctuation of my voice. I think the only things he really SAYS are "ball", "mom", and "dada". He shakes his head yes and no though, so we can communicate with him much better now. We are happy to hear his voice and know that he can hear ours' too.
Joel and I are also doing well. Well, I have recently develop some excema on my hands and feet, but it seems to be getting better as the weather gets cooler. I'm not complaining though, I am managing it with some cream and soaks.
Joel is beginning the process of becoming a State Farm agent. It is still a couple of years down the road, but he is starting the process and will hopefully not have any problems with the testing and training he will go through.
Other then that, we are happy and healthy.
