All about me
I actually have something to tell about MY life!! I was able to get away for a couple of days and join my office in Phoenix. My office organizes a Transportation Systems Workshop every for years in different locations. I convinced them that they could really use me for a couple of days down in Phoenix. It was a really great trip. The conference was very well attended and I was able to meet quite a few people that I had previously only met over the phone.
Also, along with the rest of the Omaha District of the Corps, my office has relocated to the Downtown Omaha area. It is a real blessing on the gas budget. I went from driving 27 miles each way to work to driving about 5 miles each way. Yeah!!! It is really nice to be closer to the kids during the day. The office we are in now is in a completed renovated building and is really nice.
All with the family is well. We have had to pull out the shorts the last few days and have found Nathan and Ryan to pretty much wear the same size shorts. Maybe when I potty train Ryan he will go down a size, but I don't know. I am planning on taking care of the potty training over Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully it will go smoothly. He doesn't seem too opposed to the idea when we go into the bathroom and watch Nate go, or when we talk about it. We shall see.
Current Stats:
Nathan 39# 3' 5"
Nathan will turn four June 29
Ryan 31# 2' 9"
Ryan just tuned two
Oh, yeah. Ryan had a birthday!! It came a went pretty fast, but for a week leading up to it I heard Joel and myself saying "oh, its fine, it's his birthday" a lot. He got away with murder that week. I was feeling bad for leaving for Phoenix and gave in to him a lot. But I think we have ditched the binky for good! He is a big boy now.
Nathan had a hard time on Ryan's birthday for two reasons: No presents for him and not being able to open Ryan's presents. Grandma Jeanne says it is always hard, but I think Nathan took it really personally. There has not been a month go by since Christmas that we have not heard about unwrapping presents.

Well well, not too bad. ;) I'm not surprised that Nater was thinkin' that, but that's alright. I still remember going through that at your birthday parties for awhile, so Grandma would usually get me something to make me shut up... er, feel included! ;)
Man-- Good Luck with the potty training! Sometimes I think Audrey will go straight from size 6 to adult diapers...
