New stuff

Well, it has been a while. I guess starting at the beginning, I had sinus surgery the beginning of September. It was after many months of sinus infections and antibiotics and steroids that I decided the time had some. Wendy (my doc) set me up for a CT scan. The results were poor. I had evidence of chronic sinusitis, which I could have told them, and surgery was recommended. I then met with a wonderful ENT that put me on a long term antibiotic and steroid therapy. I also went ahead and scheduled surgery in the likely even that this did not do the trick. Long story short, I had surgery 4 weeks later. It took a while to recover, about a month, and I am still getting headaches. During all this I also started allergy therapy, which is probably the cause of all my sinus problems. It has all been just lovely. Joel and I were able to get away for a weekend in Estes Park during September also. It was wonderful. A couple of good friends of ours were married and Joel was asked to be the best man. He looked so good in his tux. We forgot our camera though and have not gotten any pictures yet from the trip. I will post a couple generic ones I found on the Internet though of the rental house and the lodge where they were married. It was really beautiful. The boys stayed with Grandma Deb and Grandma Jeanne. They had a blast too!
The house
Our room
Kitchen, duh
Living room with flat screen TV and satellite, leather sofas
Hot tub with a view
Reception room, not their decorations
Wedding site, not our friends in this photo though
Deck view overlooking the wedding site. There were people lined up on this deck watching their wedding
Nathan is growing like a weed. His appetite seems to have really picked up lately. He can eat 2 PB&Js now or 2 corndogs. Yiks! He is totally into Indiana Jones and Star Wars. It makes interesting games of Darth Vadar dodging the boulder. He kicks butt on Playstation and can sing all kinds of theme songs. He is a whiner though. I am always asking him to repeat what he said, WITHOUT the WHINE! Yes, yes, I am aware of where he got this lovely habit.

Nathan's "free art" drawing, he says these guys are all Indiana Jones

Ryan has really stated talking a lot. He tried hard to keep up with Nathan and ends up falling down a lot. He is only about 4 inches shorter then Nathan, maybe 5 lbs lighter and can hold his own in a wrestling match. He doesn't quite get the theme songs but tried hard to sing along. He has graduated from his crib and has done an awesome job in his toddler bed. Now I guess we don’t have any more excuses not to potty train him. He really loves his big brother and tries to sneak hugs in whenever he can. Nathan doesn’t really care too much for hugs. Grandma Deb being out of town has really been hard on the kids, and ok Me too! We miss her every day and can’t wait till she comes home!!

Wow that place looks so pretty! I bet you guys had a great time! It's always nice to get away from the kids every once in a while, too. My boys are totally into Star Wars and playstation, too. Gotta love boys!!

Hehehe. :D Does he use his GameBoy at all, or is it just a lovely piece of decor? Also glad to know that Ryan finally knows who I am (and that he can hold his own against his brother)!
