Michaela Lyn Smith was welcomed to the world 03-30-2010 at 8:36 pm. She weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz. and has a full head of pretty black hair. Things have been pretty interesting since she was born. It seems like the time went fast, not while it was happening necessarily but, now that she is here with us we are so excited! Nathan and Ryan have reacted in different ways to Michaela. Ryan has been very sweet to watch with her, he really likes to touch her nose and her ears and her hair..Nathan has been pretty good and is now a lot more comfortable with her and mom being home. We have received a lot of help from family and friends and we appreciate it very much. It is difficult sometimes to coordinate schedules with school and work and stuff, but we have always been able to count on someone lending us a hand. Mom and baby are doing very well. I think Heather was pretty stir crazy with being on bedrest because she has been up and running since. I remember being at the hospital on Thursday with them and she looked great and was ready, I'm sure, to go home. She did have to stay in the hospital until Friday. Michaela has been a very sweet little baby. She didn't cry when they got her out, it actually became concerning for them, but her lungs were fine and everything has been normal. She kind of squeaks like a mouse, but we have heard her cry here at home and it sounds exactly like the baby crys we are used to. She is such a blessing and I will say that it had been predicted that should would have me wrapped around her widdle finger and I have to admit when I look at her I think, "I will buy you whatever kind of pony you want.." She is very beautiful. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

She is SOO cute. You will notice that girls are completly different than boys - much more mellow for the most part. Glad everything went well.

Aw... I wish I were there! :) I would LOVE to be "Aunt" Kourtnee and babysit for her. Looking forward to meeting her, and seeing what sort of pony you get her (shetland, strawberry roan, mare or gelding).
